Japan's first park with a zoo, art museums, ponds and temples
  

Ueno Zoological Gardens

Japan's oldest zoo, which opened in 1882. Here, you can visit about five hundred kinds of unique animals. The very popular giant panda, the polar bear and sealocean that dynamically exhibits the ecology of the Arctic animals are a must-see.

Tokyo National Museum

Many antique works of art and archaelogical findings of Japan and other areas of Asia are open to the public in five exhibition halls. There are over 110,000 pieces in the collection. It is the laregest museum in Japan.

National Museum of Nature and Science

The Japan Hall introduces the diverse nature of Japan under the theme of `The Nature of the Japanese archipelago and us'. The Earth Hall offers exhibitions about the evolution of the human species and dinosaurs, the diversity of the environment and life,the progress of scienceand technology, and research of the universe and materials.
