A very rare type of castle built on the mountaion top. the former Takeda
Castle looks a castle in the sky when it is surrouded by the cloud in the
autumn or winter early morning. It is often described as the Japanese Machu
Picchu for its castle tower soars on the mounatain top 354m above sea level.
The site area of the castle measures 400m in the north-south direction
and 100 m in the east-west direction. The stone wall was constructed by
the Omi Ano-shu, or a specialist group of stone masons in the 16th century,
using the same technique as that for Oda Nobunaga's Azuchi Castle as the
entire castle site looks like a crouching tiger.
