Kobe Luminarie
The first `Kobe Luminarie` held in December of 1995 as a requiem for the
victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of that year and as a prayer
for the city to recover from the earthquake, deeply moved and encouraged
the devasted people of Kobe.
Thanks to the donations and contributions from those who attend and support
the event , `Kobe Lumenarie' has since been held every December to memorialize
the earthquake and to symbolize hope for the city and its people.
